  • Dr.
    Kathy Roth

    Dr. Roth is the director of Health Horizons and has been part of the team for over 19 years.  She is a summa cum laude graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and completed her pre-chiropractic education at Penn State University. Her passion lies in assisting others in achieving optimum function through chiropractic and natural healing.  She is certified in the Webster Technique, used on pregnant women to assist with better baby position and birth outcomes, and works closely with many local midwives, doulas and child birth professionals.  She holds advanced certification in prenatal and pediatric care through the IPCA, International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. Additionally, she is a trained doula and has expertise in Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) and cranial adjusting, including Endonasal Release Technique. She enjoys the outdoors, yoga and spending time with her husband, Justin, and children, Kristopher and Lia.     Katherine Palombini

    Dr. Palombini has been in chiropractic practice for over 39 years in this location. In addition to chiropractic, she specializes in clinical nutrition. Her areas of expertise are women’s health concerns, chronic inflammatory problems and weight management. Dr. Palombini directs the Lifestyle Strategies Program. This is a 12-week plan designed to address client’s individual health concerns, as well as provide group support in implementing healthy lifestyle changes. Dr. Palombini, along with her husband, Dr. Frank Cicirello, has raised five children in a natural lifestyle and is the founder and co-owner of Today’s Market, a natural foods store in Oakmont.     Michael Greer

    Dr. Greer is a cum laude graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic and finished his pre-chiropractic program at Westminster College.  He has been practicing for over 19 years. His main focus is helping people achieve optimum health with chiropractic care by enhancing neurologic and structural function. He greatly enjoys empowering people through education to take responsibility for their overall health and to actively maintain it with positive lifestyle choices. Dr. Greer enjoys providing gentle and specific pediatric chiropractic care. Having two children of his own, chiropractic care is a normal part of his family's health enhancement routine. Dr. Greer and his family have recently moved back “home” to the Pittsburgh area after living and practicing in Dublin, Ireland for 7 years.     Lacy Smiesko

    Dr. Smiesko is a recent graduate of Parker University in Dallas, Texas and completed her B.S. in Biology at Penn State University. Although she had been enjoying living in the warm weather in the south, she is not a new face to the area or our office. Dr. Smiesko grew up in Pittsburgh and started at Health Horizons as a patient in 2009 and later became an assistant in our office.  She loved chiropractic so much that she knew it was what she wanted to do for the rest of her life!.

    While in college, Dr. Smiesko became certified in the Webster Technique through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). This technique focuses on restoring normal pelvic function and biomechanics, which are vital during pregnancy. Additionally, she holds an advanced proficiency certification in Activator Technique that covers spine and extremity conditions. She has also been an active member of the Professional Baseball and Football Chiropractic Societies and has learned various methods to better serve athletes.

    While completing her year of clinical requirements, Dr. Smiesko was chosen to be a part of the chiropractic team at the Dallas VA Hospital. The Dallas VA is the most competitive and highly sought after internship offered at Parker University due to the experience that is gained from the complex cases and high patient volume encountered. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, outdoor activities, volleyball, snuggling with her cat and watching all Pittsburgh sports. Chirodirectory Profile

    Frank Cicirello

    Dr. Cicirello has practiced chiropractic and clinical nutrition in this location for over 39 years. Additionally, he has certification in Neuro Emotional Technique, Neuromuscular Reeducation and GrastonTechnique. Dr. Cicirello also has expertise in Biochemical / Environmental testing. His specialty is identifying the causes of unresolved chronic health problems. Dr. Cicirello, along with his wife, Dr. Katherine Palombini, has raised five children in a natural lifestyle and is co-owner of Today’s Market, a natural foods store in Oakmont. He is an avid runner and enjoys snow skiing, biking, and tennis.
